Making Learning Fun!
Making Learning Fun!
My journey as an educator began when I was 16, after I landed my first job at an elementary school after-school program. I quickly discovered that I had a niche for helping struggling students by finding creative ways to make each homework lesson fun. I decided to pursue teaching during college, and graduated from Cal State Northridge in 2011 with a double major in Elementary Education and Recreation Management. Afterwards, I had a son and began tutoring to be able to work around his schedule. Fast forward 5 years, I have helped 100's of local students and have acquired bounds of knowledge, teaching methods, and practiced PROVEN experience that directly relates to each assignment and lesson.
While I have a degree in Elementary Education, my favorite courses to teach are middle school and high school math! Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry! This "challenging" age can be tough, but that is why I am here to 'help connect the dots' -Literally!
I also specialize in bringing students up to speed after they have fallen behind. I use effective, to-the-point teaching, that enables students to jump forward grade levels after just months of instruction together.
The quickest, safest way to tutor. Screen share enables me to follow along during remote learning courses or view me teach from my whiteboard.
Sometimes there is no replacement for face to face instruction. Safety protocols must be met, including 6' distance and no sharing materials. Outdoors preferred.
I offer discounts for siblings and multiple students. Price varies based on number of students and hours.
All payments must be made prior to lesson. 100% guarantee satisfaction or your money back.
Every student has unique needs for support. Tell me more about what you are hoping a tutor can do for you, and I will start on a plan to help your child achieve success.
